The easiest way to install Joli OS on a Windows machine is to use the Joli OS Windows Installer, which will install Joli OS alongside Windows on your device. You need a minimum of 4GB free space on your hard disk.
If your device is not running Windows or if you prefer to create your own native installation using the Joli OS ISO and Jolicloud USB Creator, please refer to our guide to make Joli OS your only operating system.
Read more about the advantages and disadvantages between the two here.
Here are the steps included in this guide:

You can download Joli OS Express here: www.jolicloud.com/download.
Once you have downloaded the Joli-OS-Installer.exe file, double-click on the icon to extract the file.

On the first welcome screen, click on Get Started.

Fill in the fields with a computer login and password. Note that this is not the same as your Jolicloud username.

By default, Joli OS Express chooses the set up configuration that would give you the best experience.
If you are happy with the default configuration, click Next. If you want to make changes to the configuration, click Change.

By clicking on the Change button, a new window pops up where you can change your setup. You can select another disk to install Joli OS, and decide how much disk space you want to use for Joli OS, from 4GB to almost all the free available space on your hard drive. Your choice will not impact performance, but how many apps and files you can store locally. You can also select a different language to use on Joli OS.
Click Save when you are done.

Joli OS Express is now preparing for install.

Once the preparation is complete, click Restart now.

Upon restart, you will see that Joli OS is selected by default on the multi-boot screen.

Press Enter or wait a few seconds for the installation to begin.
Sit back, we are taking care of everything. This last step will take about 10 minutes. Check our slideshow while Joli OS installs to learn more about your new OS.
